Jeff Bass

I have spent most of my life in the north Dallas area, growing up in Carrollton. I have lived in Garland since 2008. My wife, Heather, and I have been married since 2004 and have one son, Preston, born in 2008.

My wife is a family practice physician for Baylor/Scott & White, in McKinney. Preston attends International Leadership of Texas school in Garland. I am a franchise owner of two Dickey’s Barbecue Pit restaurants, one in Garland and one in north Dallas and ABC Catering.

I attended Brookhaven College and UTD. I purchased my first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, in Garland, in 2014. In addition to operating multiple restaurants, my work experience includes mortgage banking, operations management, as well as owning and managing multiple residential investment properties.

Owning my own business has been a blessing for me. It has opened opportunities for me to grow and become a better steward. I love being a part of my community and the city of Garland and its citizens make it a joy to be involved. 

I am looking forward to working more closely with the community by representing District 1 on City Council. It is my passion for service that attracts me to become more involved.
